After almost 2 decades of successful racing as a privateer team, Bob Berridge realised that there was an untapped market for an extremely high-standard, complete solutions provider for private race car owners. As a result, BBM Sport was born in late 2017 in order to service this small but highly focused market.
BBM opened up in Daventry at the beginning of 2018 in a 15,000sq. ft facility, and has gone from strength to strength with 2 further expansions to the complex, resulting in around 35,000sq. ft of facility.
Being a private racer himself, Berridge took on board aspects from his personal experiences as a driver, identified areas where the entire experience could be improved, and set about the mammoth task of creating the ultimate, exclusive red-carpet all-in-one experience for private racers.

BBM Sport is famous for our Peugeot Sport links with our management of the Peugeot Le Mans Prototypes, the 908 V12 and 90X V8, which have seen massive success with their resurgence in the last 4 years. Additionally, our acquisition of the Paulo Catone designed BR Engineering BR01 cars (5 chassis) led to another series of race-winning events, with our Peugeots and BRs dominating the Masters Endurance Legends podiums from 2018 to present day.
As for our bespoke work, we continue to work on some very interesting and specialised client requirements, maintaining the client's anonymity and confidentiality as required.
We are also one of very few teams that has an in-house motorsport engineering department, ensuring that your telemetry data and bridges between the mechanical and the technological are always available and supported. You can buy a race car from many places, but what you can't get is the ongoing support, management, technology, coaching, logistics and world-class engineering, making your racing career well… easy.

With an impressive racing career spanning four decades, Bob Berridge has a wealth of experience both behind the wheel and as a team manager.
He has an incredible eye for a good car, and a talent for putting together an innovative framework to handle all aspects of the vision that BBM Sport represents. Bob likes to see happy clients, and as such his personal commitment is to ensuring that our clients always receive the highest standard of service, combined with exceptional value for money.
Bob’s favourite place to be is a race circuit, and this allows him to always be on the cutting edge of historic and endurance racing, and up to date with trends and technologies.
Steve Briggs
Technical Director
Steve Briggs is, arguably, one of the best chief mechanics around in the field of prototypes, GTs, and specialised engineering projects.
He has been with Bob Berridge as a mechanic for over 20 years, and his wealth of knowledge and experience is invaluable to the operation of BBM Sport’s technical workshop and projects.
Steve’s love for racing is evident when you visit our workshop complex, or in any paddock. His knowledge of race cars, particularly prototypes and historics, is second to none, and the workmanship he oversees is, as expected, of the highest possible standard. You can be confident that if Briggs has overseen your build/rebuild, that it will be a world-class job, leaving no detail unnoticed and no short-cuts.
